Rwanda

rwanda stork With approximately 300 mountain gorillas, Rwanda offers one of the best chances of seeing these gentle giants in the world. The tourist industry in Rwanda is still in its infancy and accommodation is basic which all contributes to this once in a lifetime experience.

The gorillas of Rwanda live in the tropical rainforests amongst the volcanoes. With altitudes of 11,500 to 14,500 feet (3,800 – 4,800 metres), this trek requires participants to have a good level of fitness. Trekking can be arduous and uncomfortable due to the high altitude and humidity. Treks can take 2-3 hours before your first encounter.

Our tours fly to Rwanda via Kenya so why not extend your safari with an extension at one of the Kenyan resorts or Zanzibar?
